UNIQUE PROJECT CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS
Th e Institute for Advanced Studies project presented a challenge of
requiring noise restrictions on campus during construction. With the
entire campus being a “Th ink Tank”, residential housing adjacent to the
project and the project being connected to other buildings it is easy to
see why Barr & Barr had to use it’s extensive knowledge to solve this
challenge. Logistics Planning was a key factor for this project. Th e use
of careful staging and working closely with the owner was an integral
part to solving these issues.
