Our New England Region has had a great fi rst quarter and second quarter of 2017. Amherst College’s New 260,000 SF Science
Center has been moving toward completion of the cast in place (17,000CY) concrete structure and the concrete topping off ceremony
took place April 23rd. Wing Memorial Hospital’s new 34,000 SF Emergency Department Addition enabling work is complete and
the Ground Breaking Ceremony for the new addition is scheduled for May 9th. Our region recently had a great win at Williams
College for the new $70 Million North Building Science Center with a bonus $5.5 million dollar Library Shelving Unit project
starting in the fall of 2017. We are currently working with a new client (Keith Corporation) providing preconstruction services
for their upcoming new $100 Million Multi-Purpose Facility including a 180,000 SF MOB, Parking Structure with retail and an
84 residential unit component in Weymouth, MA. As in all our Regions, everyone is working diligently to keep projects running
smoothly, clients happy while still bringing in new opportunities. We are excited to see where the second half of the year brings us.

Celebrating Our 90th Anniversary

Did you know this year we celebrate our 90th Anniversary? Yes, on October 26, 1927 Barr & Barr was offi cially
incorporated under the name of “Barr & Lane, Inc”. Some of our earliest work was four buildings at Rockefeller
center; Th e Center Th eatre, British Building, French Building and the Time & Life building; approximate cost
$11,000,000.
