I solemnly pledge, as a member of the medical profession, to carry out this oath to the best of my ability: I will practice medicine with the health of my patient as my greatest priority.
I will provide individualized attention to the needs of my patients, with the distinct respect for their unique circumstances.
I will promise to respect my patient’s privacy and treat the information they disclose as confidential. I will recognize my duty to society and fight against health inequality and social injustice.
I will be conscious of my own belief system and biases and not discriminate against my patients or colleagues.
I will empower my patients to make decisions that honor their own beliefs and values.
I will focus on promoting wellness in my patients and engaging my community to improve health in the patient population.
I will attend to my own physical health and mental wellbeing so I can provide the highest quality of care to my patients.
