 Chengcheng Zheng
With this oath, my care begins.
I shall do no harm, prescribe no pain, prolong no suffering.
I shall respect my patients and their ability to choose for themselves.
I shall avoid the prescription of unnecessary medications and procedures.
I shall not hold myself above others.
I shall respect and remember the sacrifices and discoveries that both physicians and patients have made before me.
I am the one who will treat patients, not the disease nor illness.
I shall treat all individuals equally, with no preferences to anybody, regardless of who they are.
I dedicate my life to the service of others, and unless I break this oath, may I find happiness through my work for others.
