9 DEACTIVATION, DISASSEMBLY AND SCRAPPING

The Product referred to in this manual must be disassembled by technical and specialised personnel and is considered a
WEEE product. With reference to Directive 2002/96/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 January 2003 and the
related implementing national legislations, please note that:
• There is an obligation to not dispose of WEEE products as urban waste and to separate them;
• Public or private waste collection systems are to be used for disposal, as defined by local regulations.
The equipment can also be returned to the distributor at the end of its working life when buying new
equipment;
• This equipment may contain hazardous substances: improper use or incorrect disposal may have an
adverse effect on human health and the environment;
• The symbol (crossed out wheeled bin) shown on the product or on the packaging and on the
instruction sheet indicates that the equipment has been placed on the market after 13 August 2005
and must be disposed of separately;
• If electrical and electronic waste is disposed of illegally, the fines set forth by local regulations
regarding disposal shall apply.
