8 ROUTINE AND SPECIAL MAINTENANCE

8.1 MAINTENANCE ON THE AIR FILTERS

                                                        WARNING!
THE FILTERS ARE NON-REGENERABLE. THE FILTERS USED MUST BE DISPOSED OF AS
SPECIAL WASTE IN ACCORDANCE WITH LOCAL REGULATIONS.
Given the crucial importance of the absolute filters, you must be careful that the
replacement filters have been placed in special packaging and have not been subject to
any type of impact or damage.

It is advisable to replace with original pieces only. Filters that do not conform to the
original filters may not be compatible with the unit performance and cause operating
                                                        problems.

                                                        WARNING!
The instructions below are solely indicative.

Always refer to the local regulations or to the relevant Authorities with regards
maintenance in the hospital facility in order to define the correct maintenance schedule
                                                     of absolute filters.

The HEPA absolute filters for laminar flows in the ceiling are non-regenerable and must be replaced. It is advisable to affix an
adhesive label on the spare filters with the replacement date so as to always have a rough idea of the remaining life of the filter itself.

The degree of clogging of the filters can be detected by the pressure drop of the filter bench. For this purpose a differential
pressure sensor with an adjustable threshold can be installed.

Detect the correct differential pressure value by positioning the positive pressure intake upstream of the filters (inside the
plenum) and the negative pressure intake in the ambient.

In any case it is advisable to replace all absolute filters every twenty-four months (2 years).

                   Replace the filters as follows:

               1) Remove the aesthetic cover frames from the specific screws.
               2) Place the adjustable tabs of the filter supports parallel to the supports themselves.
               3) Gently pull the filter until it is removed from the support.
               4) Remove any trace of liquid sealant from the blades of the filter support.
               5) Place the new filters inside the support by joining the blade to the seal.
               6) Gently push the filter in order to fully insert the blade inside the seal.
               7) Place the adjustable tabs of the supports perpendicular to the supports in order to keep the filter in place
