The Fire Department
The complex being a hydrocarbon processing industry, robust fire prevention and
protection systems has been put in place to prevent the occurrences of any fire incidents.
A fire station with fully equipped fire tenders manned by qualified and experienced fire
crew are available round the clock to ensure prevention of fire incidents and protection of
human life and assets.
The main functions of fire department are as follows-
• Preventive maintenance of mobile, first-aid and fixed firefighting equipment/system.
• Scheduled Functionality checking and maintenance of fire & gas detection system and
emergency communication system
• Emergency handling
• Periodical Mock Drills
• Training for regular, contractor and security employees
• Fire risk assessment to eliminate fire/spill/leak incidents.
• Physical training / squad drill / fire equipment drills – daily for fire crew.
• Standby for critical jobs and all hot jobs.
The fire department has the following major facilities and equipment- Fire control room
with mimic and PLC based fire alarm panel, public address system, Base radio station
along with walkie-talkies and emergency siren system, Four multipurpose fire tenders,
Emergency rescue tenders, Water tenders, Hydraulic platforms, Foam and DCP trailers,
Oil spill handling trucks, Utility trucks and a Training facility.
