The Environment Department

Indorama is highly committed to implementing the best environment management
systems and practices in order to provide an ambient environment within and around the
company premises. The company also takes utmost care and has implemented
appropriate measures to prevent discharges of any effluent or waste material liquids and
gases into the surrounding atmosphere and communities so as to preserve the flora and
fauna of the environment.

The major functions of environment department are-

• Monthly workplace ambient air quality monitoring (In-house)
• Third party Monthly Ambient Air Quality Monitoring (Periphery and Host communities)
• Quarterly Stack emission Monitoring
• Daily Treated Effluent quality monitoring (pH, NH3, TSS, COD)
• Monthly Recipient water body quality monitoring
• Waste management program
• Environmental audit and ensure compliance
• Environment training and awareness

Following performance monitoring facilities are in place: Environment Management Plan
(EMP), Well-equipped FMEnv accredited laboratory, Effluent treatment plants of
adequate capacity and Environmental Aspect/Impact assessment.
