Our branch held our annual Christmas lunch on Sunday, November 27th in the
Stonehouse Restaurant, Ballinlough, Co. Roscommon.
There was a good attendance of members who thoroughly enjoyed the day.
On Saturday, December 3rd, members of the branch underwent a half day’s

training seminar with local journalist and training facilitator Miriam Kerins. It was
an Introduction to Public Speaking (Getting the Basics Right).
Miriam included tips and techniques to deliver a speech, talk with ease,
overcoming nerves and fears, speaking with confidence, using body language
and the sound of your voice to speak calmer and more effectively. Those who
attended declared they ‘enjoyed the morning’.
Thanks goes to our members, their families and all our volunteers who helped
out with fundraising throughout the year.
We wish you all a very healthy, happy and peaceful Christmas and continued
