compared to women who were not as tense. Another study from Israeli
researchers** tested the effect of stress relief on success rate of pregnancies.
They found that women who were entertained by a clown after they
received the treatment (laughter is a known stress-soother) were more
likely to conceive than those who were not.
As a certified Fertility Yoga and Reproductive Wellness expert, I too deal
with many patients of infertility and have studied the correlation of
emotions, mind, thought process, feelings and psychology with
reproductive health first hand. Case to case, it has come to be realized that
the stigma associated with infertility, social pressure, turbulent
relationships, lack of self-esteem, poor lifestyle, unhealthy eating patterns,
lingering thoughts on futility of femininity et al become major pain points
in a speedy recovery towards a possible, sound pregnancy and a healthy
childbirth.
It is on this realization that I incorporated in my fertility wellness
curriculum, emotional redevelopment, rebooting of mindset, mind relief
exercises, stress relief breathwork, therapeutic meditations and all that
helped women reach a peak state of mind before conceiving. A beautiful
process I follow in my classes is encouraging prospective mothers to always
be grateful and happy on seeing other pregnant women rather than
