Don’t just teach your kids to read, teach them to question what they read. Teach them to question everything. - George Carlin
It has been our endeavor to equip our little ones with the kind of skills which they need, to learn and understand things independently. Teachers have just been facilitators while students are given resources to test and try what is taught and gain better understanding through hands on experience. The learning stations, the activities during the lessons, extended learning through quiz questions, puzzles and mind bogglers put up on the walls help tickle the young minds to think
in their own way, question themselves, their teachers and their parents and arrive at answers. Their problem solving and critical thinking skills are sharpened in an age appropriate manner. The Reading Corners, weekly online reading and Read to the Supervisors have been some of the ways of encouraging and honing the reading skills. The JAM sessions in languages boost the confidence as well as develop the communication skill. Platforms are provided to develop social skills through collaborative teaching methods. To sum it up, our team of dynamic teachers provide wings to the little ones to fly to greater heights.

The traditional school year draws to a close and the students walk into the domain of a new grade. As we send the current students ahead, our aim is to ensure that the first impression for the incoming students are that of a happy experience that would shape their minds.
The Primary years of education are the most crucial as they form the very basis of education. We believe that children reach their true potential when they feel safe, secure and valued as part of the community. Our endeavor is to create an environment which is deeply focused on nurturing each child; where they enjoy learning and develop a passion for knowledge.
The curriculum enables us to cater to varied learning needs of every individual, therefore, enabling success in all areas of learning. We recognize and respect each child’s gifts and challenges. Their achievements are celebrated and challenges are viewed as opportunities.
The entire team of educators work relentlessly to create a happy learning environment, which in turn leads to the all-round development of the students. The contribution of parents and the wider community to our children’s education is vital.
I eagerly wait for footsteps to echo in the corridors as I reminiscence the year that was and await yet another joyous learning adventure.

2017 – 2018; an invigorating academic year that left pleasant memories for everyone at Grade 2.
The curiosity of the little minds inspired us to be creative, be it lessons or activities. Innovation in lessons, learning aids, activities and tasks – all added up to the holistic development of our little ones.
The innumerable opportunities given to students to explore and investigate worked as a ‘learning staircase’ and provided a well chalked out learning experience to the learners. Fun, frolic and learning came in different activities this year such as Talent Hunt, Gymkhana Fiesta, Learning Spaces and Healthy Me Week. Physical Education’s Gymkhana Fiesta fostered teamwork, competitive spirit and the spirit of participation in the budding athletes.
Ingenious use of technology not only intensified the student’s computer literacy skills but also maximized their learning. The groundwork of preparing our little ones for the international benchmarking tests was also a key focus point this year. A child’s safety and happiness is a priority for all at school and we at Grade 2 are glad to have dedicated and energetic teachers who take care of the overall well-being of our students.

It is indeed a pleasurable experience watching our little ones learn with joy and grow more responsible as they get set to move to Middle School – another new phase in their lives. They trip and fall sometimes, yet emerge with new learning, apply their knowledge in daily lives and come up with creative solutions.
The Innovation Club has been the most exciting start-up in the Department. Reading corners and Story Time added to their passion towards reading. Children are involved regularly in activities that enhance their creativity, critical thinking and entrepreneurial skills.
I take pride in the brilliant results of the fourth graders in the ASSET examination. Our children bagged the Overall Trophy at the KGS Music Festival for the third consecutive year. They have also won accolades for various events in Sports. Thank you dear parents for working alongside to instill the craving for being lifelong learners in our children. We, as a team look forward to see our young ones excel, explore and live a life of their choice- gracefully and confidently. Thank you Team Grade 4 for working towards a broader vision passionately and most lovingly.
Proudly Grade 4....
