inadequate in my own work compared to some of the
spectacular book based art going round at the moment.....
BUT then today, I sold my own, first ever 'altered book' -
the Alice in Wonderland book to an American buyer!
Yay!

Hello all my fellow mental mates. Has anyone experiencing
mental health problems ever managed to get any really
decent therapy or counselling via NHS or charity or
somewhere were you don't have to pay over the odds
privately? I've been in the mental health system for 12
years but I've never had (or even been offered) any actual
counselling or therapy or 'talking' help to actually work
through problems or life issues. I see a psychiatrist every
few months but that seems to be just a quick check up
I'm not horrendously dangerous to myself or others than
re-prescription of tablets....

Aghast and moved by the massive amount of kindness and
support people have shown me in all sorts of ways with
my Art exhibition. People travelled from miles away to
come & support me. Some people came who I haven't
seen for decades! Some people have helped with fetching
& carrying and others have helped me with moral
support and advice...and on and on. Thank you all so
much everyone who's helped me in all different ways. I'm
usually a pretty cynical person but throughout this event
people have shown me a really beautiful side of human
nature.
