Please be aware of wind conditions. Many of our cottages and duplexes have chosen to provide gas grills or permanent grill areas. If a grill is provided by the owner, please allow up to 24 hours to replace an empty gas bottle. Grill rentals are available by calling Island Essentials at 252- 354-8887. We are unable to give refunds due to gas grills not working.
PEST CONTROL PROBLEMS
Have you been invaded by some small, uninvited “guests”? Emerald Isle has an abundance of wildlife due to the ecology of our maritime area. Unfortunately, this also means we have a large population of ants, water bugs and sand fleas. In the case of a serious problem, we will schedule an exterminator. Until he arrives, thorough vacuuming, insect repellent and spray will help. Our office will reimburse you for the expense of the repellent and spray when you bring in the receipt.
WHERE IS SMOKING PERMITTED?
Smoking is not allowed in your vacation home or on the decks unless
you have selected a beach home that permits it. In order to prevent accidental fires and continue to keep our beaches clean, properly extinguish cigarettes in an ashtray or cigarette disposal receptacle.
NO TEEN HOUSE PARTIES
“We’re high school kids, and we love to PARTY!” Then you’ve come to the wrong beach, kids! No teen house parties are allowed. Emerald Isle Realty will not rent to fraternities, school or civic groups, or other non-family groups, even if chaperoned by adults. We reserve the right to terminate or reject rental if reservation is booked under false pretenses. Emerald Isle Realty requires the minimum for a rental guest to enter into our Vacation Rental Agreement is 21 years of age. Alcohol abuse and underage drinking will not be tolerated on the island. People who abuse alcohol and/or partake in underage drinking may face criminal charges. The Emerald Isle Police will be notified of any parties, and guests will face expedited eviction.
