        The 2016 Griffin Hall of Fame was held          of
        and Mrs. Suzan Fichtner were inducted for Fame

        their dedication to Catholic education and
        Community Service. Dr. Angowski has helped the
        boys’ basketball program, served and organized student
        leadership teams and is a member of the St. Joseph School
        Board. Suzan Fichtner began the Campus Ministry Service
        program at Donovan and is the Executive Director of North-
        ern Ocean Habitat for Humanity in Ocean County.


        Several alumni were inducted for their Outstanding Athletic
        Achievements while at the school. Ms. Eileen Kendig, Class
        of 1973 of St. Joseph High School was nominated and
        introduced by Mr. John Bradley for Track and Basketball.
        Mr. Jeremy Denardo, Class of 1996 was introduced by
        Mr. Michael Eddy for his wrestling career at Donovan, being
        the only wrestler in school history to place (5th) as a State
        Wrestling Champion. Ms. Christina Suarez, Class of 2004
        was inducted for her outstanding tennis career and was

        himself and 500 win coach. Ms. Leah Brogan, Class of 2005
        was nominated and introduced for track by Mr. Ken Oliver.
        Coach Oliver shared Leah’s Cross country accomplishments
        as well as her track championships. Ms. Rebecca Kane,
        Class of 2007 was introduced by Ms. Carly Scallon for
        Swimming.

        The 1970 and 1971 Football teams were inducted for being
        the first State Championship teams of then St. Joseph High
        School. Both teams were coached by head coach Al Sica.

        The 2004 four-time National Cheerleading Competition team
        was also inducted and along with coaches Maureen
        Williams, Cathy Fuller, Donna Milana’80 and Jennifer Fuller’
        were credited with being the driving force behind the
        successful competition cheer program at Donovan for years.


        The evening was a great time for alumni, coaches and
        friends to come together to recognize and honor some very
        amazing individuals and teams. Thank you to all who
        supported this event.  The next Griffin Hall of Fame is sched-
        uled for 2018, contact the Alumni Office if there is an individ-
        ual or team you would like to nominate for the Hall of Fame,
        Class of 2018.
