At Senior Awards Night several students
were recognized with special awards for
outstanding service, spirit, moral character
and dedication to the mission of Donovan
Catholic during their four years. The Spirit
of St. Dominic Award honoring the Sisters
of St. Dominic who taught for many years 12
at Donovan was awarded to Rebecca
Rosenberg. The Griffin Award to two out-
standing athletes, male and female, who
demonstrate the qualities of sportsman-
ship, exemplary character, academic and
athletic achievement went to Ashley
Gundling (Volleyball, Track), and Michael
Boice ( Basketball, Volleyball). The Rev-
erend Monsignor Donovan Award recog-
nizing two students who exhibit
cheerfulness, sincerity, and school loyalty
was presented to William Russell and Emi-
lie Zuhowski. The Reverend John Wessel
Memorial Award recognizes individuals
who live and practice their faith through
service to the parish community was pre-
sented to Kathryn Milewski and Michael
Palmieri. The Bishop George W. Ahr Medal
is considered the most prestigious award
presented at graduation, recognizing a stu-
dent that best exemplifies the overall spirit
and mission of catholic education was pre-
sented to Joanne Holler. Join us in con-
