Position Strand 1 at your mark on the standing part, and put on safety glasses.
Maneuver the strand so it lies on top of the standing part, then turn it under and
tuck it through the space made by the spike. Roll the spike back and gently pull
the slack out of the strand (B, C, and D). Tape or tie your work firmly so there is
no gap where the ends of the service come together.
