Sliding sheet bend hitch
This is yet another slide-and-grip knot. The drawloop enables it to be readily undone again. Use
it for jobs as diverse as temporarily mooring a small boat or tethering a grazing animal.
Lead the working end of the line around one side of the anchorage point, and at the same time pull
a bight along the other side (1). Tie a half hitch around this bight (2), then make a locking tuck by
pulling a final bight from the working end through beside the half hitch (3, 4). Take care in
tightening the knot (5, 6) to avoid distorting and capsizing it.
