A Journey Laden with Time
Two years ago Kwon Eun-kyoung began contemplating time, a subject she
had never seriously thought about before. At that time she was feeling a
sense of emptiness due to her yesteryears during which she was pressed
for time every day. With her feeling of emptiness growing, she found herself
asking the question, “Might my life disappear if pressed for time?” On a
whim she set out on a journey to Italy, elevating her thoughts on time to
                  another dimension.

In Italy with its long history, even insignificant, quotidian scenes caused her
to feel a sense of temporality that had been amassed over the years. An “My concept of time has completely changed due to the
outer wall of an unknown building seemed as though it was laden with idea that the temporality of the wall I saw during my
thousands of years of history. It had existed for a long time in this place and journey will remain compressed. I felt a sense of freedom

as restrictions disappeared. Even if we are to undergo
time and existence. She broke away from her void through a reversal of

existence. She became free of the restrictions set by time. The artist states
that this wall along with the other trifling things she encountered in Italy are enables me to be what I am. I am presently grateful to
works of art loaded with temporality. time.”
