Also, to live peaceably with all men does
not require that Christians keep silent when
heretical and false teachings are being
propagated or accepted at a social gathering.
Unknowingly, sometimes family gatherings
can breed the endorsement of false and
heretical religious beliefs and can also
become a place of religious ecumenical
unity, in a sense, because most family
gatherings represent a diversity of religious
beliefs that go unchallenged in conversations
for the sake of family unity.
Romans 16:17 says, “Now I beseech you,
brethren, mark them which cause divisions
and offences contrary to the doctrine which
ye have learned; and avoid them” — and,
again, family members are not excluded from
