compromise God’s honor and glory and/or

cause us to sin against God.

             Living peaceably with all men

Many Christians like to point to verses

such as Romans 12:18 to justify their silence

and their compromises at social gatherings,

but Romans 12:18 begins with a

“disclaimer”: “If it be possible, as much as

lieth in you, live peaceably with all men,” and

             according to 2 Corinthians 6:14-18, it’s not

possible, nor is it scriptural, for Christians to

             maintain harmonious fellowship with

             unbelievers and/or professing Christians who

are living in persistent, blatant, and

unrepentant sin. First John 1:6 says that God

breaks fellowship with those who “walk in

             darkness,” and so should Christians.
