In a video spread on social media, workers can even be seen breaking into and occupying the
office of Banten Governor Wahidin Halim, Serang, Banten, last Wednesday (12/22/21).
President of the Confederation of Indonesian Trade Unions (KSPI) Said Iqbal said the massive
action would continue until governors throughout Indonesia revise the value of the increase in
the minimum wage in their respective provinces. He gave an example of how Anies has done it
in DKI Jakarta.
“So when Governor Anies raises the DKI UMP by 5.1%, it is very rational. Because this is in
accordance with the Constitutional Court’s decision. In other words, Governor Anies is subject to
applicable laws, according to the results of calculations,” he said, Friday (12/24/21)..
