MADOC TRINITY UNITED CHURCH - 190TH ANNIVERSARY
On Sunday, August 13, 2023, Madoc Trinity United Church, 76 St. Lawrence St., E, Madoc will be celebrating it's 190th
Anniverary. A special service will be held at 10:30 a.m., with guest speaker, Rev. Heather Sandford, a member of Madoc
Trinity, who was sponsored by the congregation for ordination. Rev. Audrey Whitney, Trinity's present minister will help
lead the special service as well. All members of Trinity, both past and present, are cordially invited. There will be a time of
fellowship in the church hall following the service.
On Friday, August 11 and Saturday. August 12, there will be a Quilt Show at Madoc Trinity from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m, each
day in conjunction with the 190th Anniversary. Everyone Welcome!
BOTTLE DRIVE
Addison Althouse student at Madoc township public school is
looking for donations of empties for her competitive dance
team for the up coming dance season. She has a goal set for
herself of raising $1000 by the end of the summer.

ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH IN FLINTON, ONTARIO
St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Flinton will be celebrating
their 150th Anniversary on Sunday, August 20th, 2023. To commemorate
this milestone for the Church as well as for the community, Rev. Father Paul
Njoku & the parishioners of St. John's planted & blessed a Spruce Tree
today, Sunday, July 16th before the 11am Mass.
Following the 11am Mass everyone stayed & socialized, enjoying cookies, tea
& coffee at our Monthly Meet & Greet. With the planting of this tree we will
now have our 1st Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at the end of November
beginning of December. Where the whole community is welcome to enjoy Hot Chocolate & Cookies, sing a few Christmas
Carols, say a prayer or two and share the joy of Christmas! This tree is a testament to the past, present, and future of the
parish!
