Here is a little
known fact about
Madoc,. from 1854.
Exact location
unknown but
supposed to be from
the SW corner of On Wednesday, April 22 members of Madoc C.O.P.E. helped
Madoc Twp....Grant to clean up the neighborhood by picking up trash on the
Ketchenson side of the road to celebrate Earth Day. We did this to clean
up the environment for the birds, animals, and people. We
collected a whole bunch of trash. The staff were Alex,
Amanda, Hannah, John, Anita, and Kathleen. The
participants who were involved that helped out to pick up
garbage were Jordan, Britany, Brook, Joe, Casey, Katie, Jade,
Ian, Mike, Dan, Jaz, Derick, and Crystal. We got on some
gloves and got some garbage bags and we all went out
together. We also did this to start to send a message to
others to encourage them to stop littering or at least think
about it before they do it. It helps to keep the neighborhood
safe. If people stop littering on the street and the country
roads, we could keep the side roads clean and send a
message to others that we desperately need to keep doing
our part.
