››› Discuss with your store manager the best way to deliver in a
specific area. Look at your deliveries for today or tomorrow.
Use the space below to write some of the key points for a specific delivery:
Customer name:
Address:
Item to deliver:
Specific points for this delivery (time needed to travel, time needed to get product into/out of vehicle, tools
needed, traffic, etc.):
Once you know WHERE you’re going, it’s time to get the truck loaded up with merchandise. Match the serial
numbers on your Delivery Checklist with the actual serial numbers on the merchandise, (DO NOT use the serial
numbers on the price tag for verification, they might be incorrect). Get it all ready to load by the back door.
What should you load first? This may seem like an easy question, but it has derailed many a good coworker
mid-delivery. The trick is to load the last items to deliver, FIRST. And the first items to deliver, load LAST. This is
called FILO (First In, Last Out).
Why would this matter?
