1. CHANGES TO SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
1.1. Any change to the sailing instructions will be posted before 0900 on the day it will
take effect, except that any change to the schedule of races will be posted by 2000
on the day before it will take effect.
1.2. Changes to a sailing instruction may be made on the water by broadcasting on VHF
69.
2. COMMUNICATIONS WITH COMPETITORS
2.1. Notices to competitors will be posted on the official notice board located on the
RYCV deck. Notices may also be sent to skippers via email and posted to the CYAA
website.
2.2. The RYCV race office is located at the RYCV office, phone number 9397 1277,
email allicia.r@rycv.asn.au. The RGYC race office is located at the RGYC office,
phone 03 5229 3705, email peterk@rgyc.com.au.
2.3. On the water, the RYCV and RGYC race committee’s intend to monitor and
communicate with competitors on the following VHF radio channels:
RYCV - 69
RGYC - 71
2.4. The following communications may be made by the race committee:
Location of race committee vessel, individual recalls, postponement, abandonment,
next start sequence.
3. CODE OF CONDUCT
3.1. [DP] Competitors and support persons shall comply with reasonable requests from
race officials as well as RYCV and RGYC staff.
4. SIGNALS MADE ASHORE
4.1. Signals made ashore will be displayed from the RYCV flagpole located on the lawn.
4.2. When flag AP is displayed ashore ‘1 minute’ is replaced with ‘not less than 30
minutes’ in Race Signals AP.

5.2. One extra race per day may be sailed, provided that no division becomes more than
one race ahead of schedule.
5.3. To alert boats that a race or sequence of races will begin soon, the orange starting
line flag will be displayed with one sound at least five minutes before a warning
signal is made.
5.4. On the last scheduled day of racing, no warning signal will be made after 1045hrs.
