6. CLASS FLAGS
6.1. The class and division flags are as follows:

7. RACING AREA
7.1. The racing areas for races 1-4 are Hobsons Bay and Northern Port Phillip. The racing
areas for race 5 are Hobsons Bay, Port Phillip and Corio Bay.
8. COURSES
8.1. The descriptions of the 2020 Cup Regatta Courses 1-10 and the passage race are
included in these Sailing Instructions as Addendum One.
8.2. No later than the warning signal the committee vessel will signal the course to be
sailed by displaying the corresponding numeral pennant. There is no numeral
pennant for the passage race.
9. MARKS
9.1. The marks of the course and the approximate locations are included in Addendum One.
9.2. The start/finish pin is an orange inflatable mark.
9.3. The laid mark is an orange inflatable mark. Its compass bearing from the committee
boat will be displayed prior to the Division three warning signal.
9.4. The Division one and two gate one for courses 1 - 10 is the committee boat and an
orange inflatable in close proximity.
9.5. The change of course mark shall be a yellow inflatable mark with a black band.
10. OBSTRUCTIONS
10.1.If there is a ship approaching the shipping channel, then that shipping channel
becomes an obstruction.
10.2.During the passage race the following objects are designated as obstructions:
10.2.1. The Marine Farm bounded by cardinal marks with approximate coordinates
listed below is an obstruction.

10.2.2. The Oil Rig moored off Werribee and the surrounding water within 240 metres
from it is an obstruction.
