Why has Ada ( ) been transformed?
Ada has been transformed to meet the needs of our people, supporting how we work and where we work to become the
front door to our digital workplace.
What does this mean? Ada is creating new ways of working at DELWP by making it easier to access existing and new
tools like Yammer, Office365, Skype, ECM SharePoint and OneDrive.
How will Ada continue to evolve?
While the launch of our new Ada is an important milestone, our digital workplace will continue to grow to support the
delivery of DELWP 2020 and in response to changing needs, staff feedback, innovations and new opportunities.
How will the transformed Ada benefit staff?
Like our customers, staff are seeking higher levels of service, connectivity and sophistication in how information is
organised, shared and used.
Ada has been developed with the modern workplace in mind one that enables real productivity, flexibility and mobility
from wherever you are and from whatever DELWP device you re using to give you seamless access to your work while
in the office, out in the field or on the go.
The value to our staff comes from providing access to the workplace tools we use in the one place. It has been designed
to create a consistent and positive staff experience.
Ada is where staff can easily connect, share information and collaborate.
What are the new features of Ada?
Key features of the refreshed Ada include:
An improved People search linked to People profiles, which allows you to add a professional photo, skills and
experience (just as you would manage your LinkedIn profile).
Improved newsroom with the ability to comment on and like posts.
Easy access to Office 365 tools and ECM SharePoint, enabling workplace flexibility and collaboration.
Personalisation of My Links and easy access to applications.
DELWP events calendar.
A more prominent BMS log in, with access to BMS from DELWP devices coming soon.
Yammer and social media (Twitter) integration with a live feed.
Enhanced search functionality to find people, pages and other resources.
Easier access to DELWP services through the new , driven by the most used content.
These features were identified through surveys and workshops with staff about what they wanted to see from a new
digital workplace.
What if I currently do not have access to Office365 or ECM?
All staff can access the online version of Office365 via portal.office.com. This includes Planning Group members who will
receive the desktop Office365 tools when TRIM is replaced with ECM SharePoint. (This roll out is planned for December
2017).
