2.4 Our values
In the Planning Group, we believe the way we work and behave with each other, our stakeholders, Ministers
and the community is as important as the outcomes we achieve for the Victorian community. We work in line
with agreed DELWP values:

• Wellbeing and safety.
2.5 Our culture
Organisational Cultural Inventory
Since transitioning to DELWP in 2014 the Planning Group has been undertaking a program of work focussed
on developing its leadership and realigning its people and capabilities to deliver on a strong and constructive
culture.
The Planning Group has used the Organisational Cultural Inventory (OCI) diagnostic tool over three years to
measure the type of culture that exists within the group and the type of workplace staff would prefer. Over
this period results have shown some improvement towards reaching our preferred culture.
The most recent OCI, conducted in 2017, reported there is a strong need to drive all aspects of the
constructive styles as the preferred culture.
The graphs below show the increase in constructive styles and decrease in defensive styles.
