chance to play out events that they have observed or experienced in real life. In
fact, role plays can help to “explore moral issues and problems safely”.
Few Glimpses of Year 3 B Role Play
Prince and the Pauper
In our attempt to achieve the same, we gave
the students of Year 3 the task of roleplay
from chapter 1 and 2 of their literature text
‘The Prince and The Pauper’. The
children were really excited about their
performance and they came all dressed up and prepared with their props for
the act. This gave them an opportunity to enhance their co scholastic skills too
as they were asked to present their role-play during the school assembly.
The students of Year 3 A really enjoyed their learning that day as they acted
out and went through the emotions of the characters of Prince Edward and
Tom. They could comprehend the sequence of occurrence and the significance
of the events in the chapters very well.
Overall it was an enjoyable learning experience for them and was conducive to
our learning objective as it helped the students to comprehend the happenings in
an experiential way.
