UAE NATIONAL DAY
The theme for the
special assembly
conducted by the
students of Grade 3E
was ‘THE UAE
NATIONAL DAY’. The
assembly was anchored
by Dua Fatima and
Mohammed Faizan of
3E. It commenced with
the recitation of the
Holy Quran by
Mohammed Afnan
Azhaar and the
translation of the same
by Eman Ahmed. This
was followed by the National Anthem. A short description about the National
Flag was given by Zahra Rashid. This was followed by description about the
National Emblem by Ayaan Kashif, speaking about the importance of the logos
on the emblem. The entire assembly was conducted as role play. Children
spoke about important facts about this great nation in detail thus sharing their
knowledge. Faidh spoke about the National Animal, the Arabian Oryx which
had been brought back from the brink of extinction by the Late ruler of Abu
Dhabi while Abdul Wasay spoke about the magnificent National Bird, the
falcon. Details on camels being an important part of UAE life was shared by
Kaneez Fatima Ghous, which is often mistaken as the National animal of UAE.
Anood Yaseen, Ayaan Shehzaad, and Arham Siddique spoke about National
flower, National tree and National fruit respectively. This was followed by
Safa Mardiah speaking about the importance of UAE in the world economy
and its important states and Shafaullah telling us about the significance of
National Day. Children were dressed in beautiful National Costumes which
deserved to be showcased. Hence a fashion show was conducted with all the
students from 3E walking the ramp. A melodious Arabic Fusion Music was
played for the same. It was followed by a quiz on UAE in which all the
students of Year3 and 4 participated enthusiastically.
