Al-Afdal Awards – 2015-16

The Al-Afdal Awards

ceremony for the academic
year 2015-16 was held on
20th October 2016 in the
MPH of The Apple
International School to
felicitate students who

made outstanding
achievements in various
fields. The ceremony
commenced with the
Recitation of few verses
from the Holy Quran by

Yusuf Hassan followed by its translation by Haya Nasser. This was followed
by the UAE National Anthem. The audience was formally welcomed by school
head boy Mahdi . The first set of certificates and trophies were given to Year 2
and Year 3 students who secured academic excellence in various subjects like
English, Math, Science, Arabic A, Arabic B, Islamic Studies A and Islamic
Studies B. This was followed by Full Attendance awards for students present

on all days throughout the year. The Section Head of Year 3-4 Ms. Norma
Amer presented these set of awards. The second set of awards was preceded
by a mashup song by the AIS Band. The Students’ Welfare Officer Ms. Baljit
Ahluwalia presented awards to the next set of students of Year 4 for their
General Proficiency and Full Attendance. Towards the end of the program, the

Interclass Awards for Best Performances in interclass competitions were
announced by the Vice-Principal, Ms. Jaya Menezes. These awards were given
by the Prinicpal, Ms. PranjalaDatta to Year 3 Go-Getters under the guidance of
Ms. Sharin Gerald and Year 4 Champions and Diamonds under guidance of
Ms. SinjuJiji and Ms. Srija S. respectively. The Principal concluded the award
ceremony by congratulating the award winning students and parents who

graced the occasion. The Compere for the event was Ms. Namra Hameed and
Ms. Tripty Shah. Altogether the Al-Afdal Award ceremony was a successful
event that recognized the consistent effort of students with various
accomplishments.
