ICEGATE
               Q-700:  Write about the preparation and e-submission of documents to ICEGATE
               A-700:         The  Customs  Brokers  may  upload  the  documents  through  ICEGATE  for  getting
                       Shipping Bill /Bill of Entry.
                              The  Exporters  and  Importers  are  required  to  send  their  documents-wise  in  PDF
                       format  with  digital  signature,  which  may  avoid  delay  and  enables  to  sign  the  Customs
                       Brokers  again  for  filing  the  documents  to  get  BE/SB  numbers.  Sending  the  documents in
                       other formats to Customs Brokers may take time to upload the same.
                       The following stipulated guidelines on PDF documents:
                              1.     File size should not exceed 1MB;

                              2.     No Stapler Mark/Punch Hole permitted;
                              3.     Document should not scan with Fold;
                              4.     Each Invoice and Invoice related document should be uploaded separately;
                              5.     If the Document is more than 1MB, say for example an Invoice with 2000
                              items, or an Invoice with 100 pages. We can split the invoice in 4 PDF files
                       with 25 pages each and upload.
               Q-701:  Steps to update registered email id at ICEGATE
               A-701:         The registered ICEGATE users can able to update their registered email ids through
                       the ICEGATE portal. This functionality will only be available post login into the account. The
                       steps to update the registered Email ID:
                       (i)    User needs to enter valid user Name and password
                       (ii)    Once the login is successful, select the ‘UPDATE EMAIL’ option

                       (iii)    User needs to enter the current registered email address and click on send button
                       (iv)    Enter the OTP received on the current email ID
                       (v)    After  successful  authentication  of  the  OTP  for  current  email  ID,  user  needs  to
                       provide New Email id and click on ‘Send OTP’ button
                       (vi)    Enter the OTP received on new email id and click on ‘Enter OTP’ button
                       (vii)    Once the OTP is verified, Email ID of the user will be updated & user will get the
                              popup for Email ID successfully updated.
                       If OTP received after session expires, the same OTP can be used for 2 hours. User needs to
                       perform the following steps:

                       (i)    Log in with valid username and password
                       (ii)    Click ‘Update Email’ link, displayed on left panel of the webpage
                       (iii)    Following page will be displayed, on this page user needs to click ‘I already have an
                              OTP’
                       (iv)    This will redirect the user where s/he needs to provide the OTP (either it could be
                              for current email id or new email id)
               Q-702:  Mandatory checking of IEC/CB wise summary report in ICEGATE
               A-702:         The  Importers,  Exporters  and  Customs  Brokers  can  visit  the  ICEGATE  website
                       (www.icegate.gov.in) daily and check the summary of Bills of Entry and Shipping Bills filed by
                       them in their name from IEC wise summary report and CHA wise summary report menu
