Learn Strong-Teach Strong
Professional Learning Conference
We are proud to present the 3rd annual Learn Strong-Teach Strong Conference as an opportunity for
professional learning for all the teachers in Lodi Unified School District. Each year it grows larger and
stronger as we incorporate district goals with areas of interest to support our teachers in their
continuous growth as professionals. Our conference logo this year (on the front cover) was the
winning entry in a Logo Design Contest sent to all Lodi Unified high school graphic arts students. The
winning entry went to Owen Christensen of Lodi High! Congratulations Owen!
This year we have 83 presenters with 105 unique offerings and 240 sessions over 2 days. Our
presenters include a majority of talented teachers, with instructional coaches, administrators, program
specialists, counselors, psychologists, IT personnel, and personnel from outside the district from
several different organizations. This wide variety of expertise and choice assures a conference
where there is something for everyone.
On the following pages of this course catalog you will find the course offerings for this year’s
conference listed by date and time, starting Wednesday, July 24th. Day 2, Thursday, July 25 begins
on page 21. The listings begin at 8:00AM with the all-day sessions (6 hour), followed by the half day
sessions (3 hour), and finally by the 1.5 hour sessions. Please pay attention to the audience range
when choosing your courses. All rooms are at Tokay High School unless otherwise noted. When
you are ready to register for your chosen courses, go to the iAttend site to actually register for your
course selection. You should be logged into Citrix and use your citrix username and password to log
in to iAttend. You will need 6 credits each day for a total of 12 over the two days. You can use the
iAttend platform to search by title, subject or grade level span by using the search bar in the
upper right. The 6 hour sessions will automatically be on A Lunch schedule for that day. For other
courses, your third period choice will determine whether or not you will be on A or B lunch. That is
also noted in the catalog with the course time. Be sure to choose your lunch period with your courses
(except for all day courses). Feel free to print a copy or two for the staff room at your school!
Courses fill up fast so register early to assure you get the courses you want most. There is no
waiting list for courses. If a desired course is listed as full, you must choose something else for that
time period to complete your registration. Have fun learning and growing!
