Groupthink
a psychological phenomenon that occurs within a
group of people, in which the desire for harmony or
conformity in the group results in an incorrect or
deviant decision-making outcome. It has been further
defined as a mode of thinking that people engage in
when they are deeply involved in a cohesive group,
when the members’ strivings for unanimity override
their motivation to realistically appraise alternative
courses of action.
