Chapter 8 Optional On-Board Dryer

Overview

Advantages
• Shorter overall bay length
• Quicker setup time compared to having a Free-Standing Dryer (The machine ships from the factory with
dryer already installed)
• Maintenance can be performed much closer to ground level compared to a typical Belanger Air Cannon dryer
who is higher off of the ground
• Less power consumption. Only have 2 motors that do all of the drying compared to the Air cannon 30, 50,
and 70 that is offered as the free standing dryer
• The car wash owner controls the amount of cycles and speed the dryer is actually running, through the
programming. This can be better for customers that drive to fast through the dryer and do not use up the
correct amount of time
• Cleaner looking bay since there is less equipment out in the open viewing area
• Less noise to the general public compared to a dryer that is either mounted outside or right at the exit doors.
Can be run with the doors closed to overcome neighborhood noise restrictions

Disadvantages
• Increased cycle time because of car exchange
• Silencer option can not be mounted for the car wash owners that like this option

General Information
• Frame color will match that of your FressStyler® carriage
• The plastic spiral blower housings are only offered in a gray color
• The Blow-Off is optional. If ordered will be mounted to the FressStyler® before shipment
• The Air Concentrator is optional. If ordered will be mounted to the FressStyler® before shipment
• Offered in various voltages
Wiring Overeview

Note: It is recommended that a licensed electrician is contracted to perform all electrical
installations.

The On-Board Dryer is supplied with two lengths of 10AWG cable at 50’ each. Depending on the location of the
Dryer Motor Control Panel, the cables may have to be ran to a separate electrical junction box and then ran to the
Dryer Motor Control Panel. Each 10 HP motor will have to be wired based off of the site location voltage.

On-Board Dryer Blow-Off
The On- Board Dryer Blow-Off is a unique design that will reduce (blow off) any water that is left hanging on the
two belly pan covers that are on the under side of the FressStyler®. It is programmed to turn on instantaneously
with the dryer motors and will begin to oscillate once the last pass of the wash cycle has been completed. The
amount of time is user selectable and can be setup to the carwash owner’s preference. Once the Dryer Blow-Off
is complete the carriage can begin to make its first pass over the vehicle. It is operated by a direct acting, 4-way
pneumatic valve that has individual flow controls for each exhaust port. This will allow you to adjust the speed of
the oscillation.
