                       INSTALLATION AND STARTUP

                       Chapter 3 Getting Started

                       Installation Overview

                          Length Considerations
Bay length is defined as the length required for the FressStyler® to operate without any obstructions. The spinning wheels should
not be able to hit conduits, cables, or any other equipment that may be mounted to the wall such as chemical pumps, etc. This length
does not include a Dryer, CTA (Chemical Tire Applicator), Rocker Spin Cleans, or other in-bay equipment.

The FressStyler® operating bay length can be reduced using either of two methods or both. The Entrance Rail Travel Stops can be
adjusted to reduce travel by up to 30’’. The software can be run in “small bay mode” which turns off the wheels before hitting any
predetermined obstruction and can reduce the operating envelope by another 30’’. If both methods are used a total number of 60’’ in
reduction of bay length can be achieved.

Note: The following length issues will determine where the legs and rails will be clamped onto
                                     the head beams.
                              • The envelope required for a 21’ - 9’’ F250 4 door 8’ bed truck is 37 feet. The entrance rail travel stops can be adjusted in
any increment up to 30’’ to fit into a bay length of 34-1/2 feet and can wash a 30’’ shorter vehicle such as a 19’ - 3’’ F250
                                 extended cab 6’ bed truck.
                              • The FressStyler® software in the E-1063 allows a user to toggle a function called “small bay enabled”. This function will
send the wheels into the vehicle and then turn them on. It will turn the wheels off before retracting out and therefore be
smaller when they are out near the walls, doors, or other obstructions. This function starts and stops the motors and
gearboxes more often during a normal wash cycle, but can save an additional bay length of 30’’.
                              • With “SMALL BAY ENABLED” we can wash the same 21’ - 9’’ truck with a bay length of 34-1/2 feet and adjust to 30’’
smaller and fit into a 32 foot bay length.
                              • If the entrance rail travel stops are adjusted 30’’ shorter, the machine can still wash the longest vehicles without faulting.
The back end of these vehicles will not be cleaned or rinsed as well as they would be if all of the rail travel was used.
