            INSTALLATION AND STARTUP

            Chapter 3 Getting Started

            Installation Overview

               Width Considerations
Note: The following width issues will determine where the legs and rails will be clamped onto the
                          head beams.
                   • The FressStyler® fits best in a building 16’ - 6” wide, with a back room and the doors on center of the walls
                       and frame.
                   • At 16’ wide with no obstructions and 8’ either side of center, the wheels can travel their full stroke and wash
the widest vehicles such as a dually, but the upper Neo-Tex® tips can touch the wall during operation.
                   • If there is no back room available, then the equipment can be placed in the bay off-center as long as it is a
minimum of 8’ - 3” from the carriage centerline.

                   • The top row of Neo-Tex® on the entrance wheels is 70” in diameter. This is the widest part of the machine.
When the wheels are retracted the tips of this Neo-Tex® extend 8’ - 3” from the center of the machine.
                   • The wheels are normally turned off in the retracted state and this Neo-Tex® will droop for more clearance. If
these material tips momentarily touch a wall, the machine operation will not be effected. They should never
be allowed to hit anything that might get damaged or tangled in the FressStyler® wheels.
                   • The FressStyler® can be put into a bay as narrow as 14’ - 9” if the doors are on center.

                   • The entrance and exit wheels can be set to retract 10 degrees less than maximum and will allow 7-1/2” more
clearance from any obstruction on each side. This would be 15’ – 3” with no Neo-Tex® touching the wall or
                       14’ – 9” with slight (acceptable) touch.
                   • If the driver side arm is de-stroked, then the Treadle should be moved 3 to 4 inches towards the passenger
side. This will give clearance from vehicles pinching the Neo-Tex® of the entrance wheel between the tire
                       and Treadle’s “Y”-Section.
                   • The accessory box has Positive Stops for the cylinders, that when installed will decrease the retract travel on
the entrance wheels. This will be termed as “De-Stroked”.

                   • The exit wheels cylinder position can be moved (de-stroked) to give the same additional clearance. If the
wheels are brought in for wall clearance, then wide vehicles, such as dually’s can not be washed.
                   • When the FressStyler® is installed on the same centerline as the doors, customers can drive in and out with
ease. The FressStyler® can be moved off centerline up to 6” of the doors to allow for more clearance from a
                       wall.

                   • Consideration should be given to any approach turns that a driver may encounter while entering the bay that
may be helped or hurt by the machine being offset.
                   • Door width such as a 10’ or 12’ wide door would ease vehicle loading more than an 8’ door, if the
FressStyler® was placed off the door centerline.
