Chapter 18 Chemicals

Chemical Pump Overview

Always wear safety gloves and glasses when working with chemicals. Follow all chemical
manufacturer procedures and warnings. Make sure the 1/2” poly-flow lines have been connected
from the SDM to the Wall Manifold BEFORE running ANY pumps!

Note: Make sure all Ball Valves
are in the OPEN position
(pointed up).

1) Place and fill all chemical containers under or in close proximity to the SDM.
Foam Wax and Triple Foam chemicals MUST be Hyper-Concentrate.
Note: When power is supplied, the pumps will require priming.
See the following steps.
2) Using the corresponding switch on the Output Board, set the pump to “manual”.
Adjust pump stroke rate and length to 100%. Open the Primer Valve on the pump
(see image right).
3) When the chemical reaches the pump, close the Primer Valve and turn OFF the power to the pump.
Note: See “Initial Startup Procedure” section to set the pumps and packages.

4) Place suction and discharge lines in their corresponding containers.
CAUTION

Never adjust pump settings when the pump in not running. Doing so will void warranty.
