Chapter 21 Optional Bug Spray Applicator
Bug Spray Applicator
Installation
Full Layout shown in the 11” x 17” pages at the back of this document
1) Mount the Pulsatron™ pump assembly to equipment side wall that will have the chemical drums beside it.
Please keep in mind that wherever the pump is mounted, the Asco™ valve assembly needs to be mounted
above the pump assembly.

2) The 3/8” poly flow line that will feed the chemical from the pump assembly to the Asco™ valve assembly is
not provided. The lines that are provided are the suction line with the foot valve and the priming line, which
are both 7 feet in length. Drop these two lines into the Bug Spray Applicator chemical drum. Then run the
field supplied poly flow line from the top of the Pulsatron™ pump to the chemical injector on the Asco™ valve
assembly.
3) Take the Bug Spray Applicator Nipple Assembly and mount it 12” off-set from the Bug Spray Applicator
Manifold in the area where the tire will drive over. This will eliminate hose wear. See the 11” x 17” pages at
the back of this document for more information.
4) Next, take the Bug Spray Applicator manifold and lag it to the floor at the dimensions shown the 11” x 17”
pages at the back of this document. The barbed hose fitting should point toward the entrance of the bay.
5) The water line required for the Bug Spray Applicator option is 3/4’’ water hose. An 8 ft section is provided to
run from the end of the Bug Spray Applicator nipple to the Bug Spray Applicator manifold, but there is not a
piece provided to run from the Asco™ valve to the end of the Bug Spray Applicator nipple. The Bug Spray
Applicator hose should never run across the floor of the bay preventing the line from being worn out by cars
running over it constantly. Run this line to the elbow hose barb at the end of the Bug Spray Applicator nipple
and crimp this line onto the nipple. Then from the straight barbed hose fitting on the nipple, run the 8 ft piece
to the Bug Spray Applicator manifold along the floor. Cut the hose as necessary.
6) Flush the lines for a couple of minutes. Next tighten the nozzles into the Bug Spray Applicator manifold. Then
prime the chemical pump. The manifold should now be completely hooked up.
