Maintenance
Routine Procedures
Monthly
• Wash component down with a good de-grimer such as Tide laundry detergent and hot water.
Quarterly
• Scrub down aluminum portions of the component with a fine steel wool such as S.O.S. pads and wash with
good de-grimer such as Tide laundry detergent and hot water (whenever using steel wool on aluminum, always
follow the grain to prevent scratching the finish).
Semi-Annually
• There is a grease fitting located on the gearbox opposite of where the electric motor mounts. This fitting is there
so the shaft bearing can be greased, because there is not enough splash from the ring gear to lubricate the
bearing. It is recommended that one squirt of a general purpose grease be applied every six months.
