Chapter 3 General Repairs
Pumping Station
Valve Replacement for the Water Tanks
1) Turn off the main power to the system.
2) Turn off both the hot and cold water feeds to the Pumping Station.
3) Turn the heater off in the small tank (if applicable).
4) Drain the water from both tanks.
5) Remove the air line and any hoses from the valve to be changed. Be sure not to discard the hose
clamp as you will reuse it after the new valve has been installed.
6) Remove the barbed hose fitting(s) and the pinch valve.
7) Apply Teflon tape and liquid Teflon to the threads of the replacement pinch valve and secure it into
place.
Note: Be sure the “direction of fluid flow” arrow on the pinch valve points in the same
direction as is shown in the previous images.
8) Replace the previously removed barbed hose fitting(s) and clamp the hose back into place.
9) Fill the water tanks to the proper levels.
10) Check the system for leaks.
11) If there are no leaks, turn on the water heater in the small tank (if applicable).
