A Place to Remember
We invite you to visit us any time our gates
are open (Dusk to Dawn) - and enjoy our
gardens surrounded by towering Cedars
and Douglas Firs.
Our lovely surroundings include:
Little Campbell River
We protect part of the Little Campbell
River that runs by the southeast corner
of the property. This river is a hidden
natural gem in a bursting metropolis,
and acts as one of the most productive
reservoirs for more than 5,000 salmon
(including Coho, Chinook, Pink, Chum)
as well as Cutthroat and Rainbow
Trout, Bass, and Northern Pikeminnow.
This Conservation Area ensures the
protection of this important river and the
fish making their annual swim.
Hazelmere Cemetery
From our parking lot, follow the path
east to Hazelmere Cemetery, a 1.5-acre
site which had its first burial in the late
1800s and is now on Surrey’s Heritage
Register for having historical and cultural
significance. It was maintained by the
local community on a volunteer basis,
until 1958 when the Municipality was
asked to take it over.
