When Mika turned her focus

back towards her notes a pencil rolled on

the ground and stopped between the legs

of her desk. Not soon after Lori tapped

Mika on her back and requested that she

pick up her pencil for her. Mika met her

eyes at she handed the pencil to her and

noticed her half quirked smile. Mika

sensed that Lori dropped her pencil on

purpose in the hopes of getting her to

return it.

The bell rang signaling lunchtime

and everybody rushed outside in order to

get ahead in the canteen line. Lori packed

up her books and placed them in her

black bag. She rose to walk out of the

classroom and questioned “So you

planning to spend all day with that book

all di way up to ya nose or you gonna help

me get lunch”.
