night show. Grand time. After show went to Moore’s. George told
me what he had wished on my ring after the show. He said, “He
hoped things keep going on like they have been.”

End note: End of good old ’35 when George and I had our
             first date on November 8.

her aunt and uncle to the river. Had a good time. Got home about 9.

January 2. Marty, Lil, Gloria, all the gang and I went uptown.
Went to Matthew’s. Marty wanted us to come out in eve, but, I

George bought me a little Santa Claus. Grand time. George threw
Joe’s picture on the floor and upside down and everything else. I
kept picking it up until he got mad so I left it lay. Mother picked
             it up next morning.

January 5. George came home with me after Church. Stayed
