my picture. He said he had something important to tell me when
we got together again.
December 6. Went to b. ball game. Routt vs. Ashland. We
won 14-13. Saw Georgie play. He made 5 points. When I’d give a
yell, they’d all yell “Fritscher.” His brother [Clarence Pieschel] was
there and laughed so hard when the kids razzed George and me.
After game George and I had a date. I met Geo. Elliot. He had
the car. We rode around, came home. Swell time. George is swell.
December 7. Went to ball game. We lost 35-6. George only
made 1 point tonite. He came down at Davison’s after me. Geo.
Elliott had the car. He came after us. We went riding. Went out
to Wagner’s. Had swell time. George is keen. G. Elliott is nice too.
December 8. We rode out to George’s house. Then he came by
here and honked. We girls went down to Davison’s in afternoon. In
evening M.L. Maloney, A. McGinnis went with George and me.
George told me what he had to tell me. He said [what he said is
written in shorthand which she learned in high school]. We went to
Winchester at a hotel and danced. G. said if we fell out it wouldn’t
be his fault. He came in for awhile. Keen time.
December 9. George wrote me a note and asked me if I believed
what he told me last nite. He said I acted cold. Cute note. He was
going to try to sneak out and come down tonite, but he couldn’t
get out. I stayed home.
December 10. George came down at 6:30. Stayed till 8:00. He
was 15 minutes late for study. We had fun. I met Weezie [Louise]
and Norine and we went to Davison’s. Fun!!
December 11. Norine, Weezie, and I went up to Merrigan’s.
Then down to Davison’s. We met Pat and Corby from the college.
Walked home with them. Had fun.
December 12. I wrote George a note and Sister Gerard got it.
