George sure was burning up. Called me up. Said to come up to
Rings Drug Store. We went up. Boy was he mad!! He tried to make
me get out of the car. I wouldn’t and I came home. He was there.
Joe left about 8. Did George and I have it. He got it back from me
tho. I skipped school in afternoon to go uptown and get some white
shoes. Joe came over in his big Olds. Brought his cousin. When I
came home he was here. Was I surprised. I took a ride with them.
After supper Norine and I went to Davison’s with them. (George
wouldn’t let me keep this page in here for a long time, but he finally
consented and we decided it was best.)

April 17. George was rather hurt at school all day on account
of Joe. All the kids were asking me about him. In nite, George and
I went riding. Went to Merrigan’s.

April 18. George came over in morning. In afternoon we went
uptown to get some seat covers for the car. In evening George and
I took a ride in the car. Brought some ice cream home.

April 19. George and I went to Church together. He ate din-
ner with me. In afternoon Norine, Mom, Dad, and Harold and
George, and I went to K’ville.[Kampsville] Had a grand time. Took
pictures. Ate at Aunt Mag’s. Went to dance after supper. Orville
Snow asked me to dance. George wouldn’t let me.

April 20. Went to school. After school the Wag staff seniors
had their pictures taken. Played b. ball after school. Seniors vs.
Soph. They won 7-6. I made all our 6 points. Boy, was I tired after
supper. George, Jimmie, Mildred, and I went to show, Follow the
Fleet, then to Merrigan’s. Took a ride. George went home mad.

April 21. George came over. We studied. He was rather sore
because I wouldn’t let him see my diary. We took a ride. Had a
rather confidential talk. Then we went to Merrigan’s. He was swell.
             We had fun.
