May 8. We stayed home. Fooled around. That’s all I can
remember.
May 9. Worked all day. George met me. We went to park
dance. Grand time.
May 10. We went to Church. George was over all day. We went
to show to see Shirley Temple in Captain January. Swell!!
May 11. Played b. ball [baseball] for first time. I pitched. Fun.
After supper George and I studied.
May 12. George was over. We studied.
May 13. Studied. Then we took the kids out to the dance. We
rode around. Had fun.
May 14. Gloria had her party. We kids went. Had a grand time.
George was just sick because I went. He wrote me a long note that
evening. He couldn’t stand to see me leave. He left.
May 15. We took a ride, I guess, Georgie and I. Anyhow, he
was over. I got my permanent. It looks swell. George likes it.
May 16. I worked all day. George and I went to the dance.
Had a swell time.
May 17. We went to Church. George was over all day. We went
riding in afternoon. I drove. In evening went to show, Under Two
Flags. We didn’t like it.
May 18. I played b. ball. In evening George and I studied.
May 19. George and I studied after supper. We took a ride
afterwards. Fun!
May 20. I got my golden slippers for Prom. We played b. ball.
Played the 8th graders. Beat them so bad. In evening George and
I went to the dance. Swell time.
