Chapter 2

We all know what ASSUME means, right?

As a business owner, you are no longer afforded the opportunity of saying “I didn’t
                       know.”

If is something that you do not understand and especially if it is involving your money,

ASK! I can’t stress this enough. In this industry, because there is so much money on the
table being left behind, the temptation of saying yes now and read later is 1o x’s higher
than any other industry. It is said to report, but there are more seasoned companies
that prey on newer companies like yourself to come in, be tempted, make a mistake a
shoot yourself in the foot. Not on our watch.

Before saying ok to the deal ask yourself the following:

                          • How will this benefit me BESIDES financially?
                          • Can I actual afford the risk that come with this project?
                          • Do I have enough reserves to cover my day to day dealings, my home life and

any other projects I currently got going on?
                          • Do I have access to capital?

Asking yourself the above questions and answering them honestly will not only save you
financial hardship, but it will preserve your brand. It’s always better to say no and have a
reputation of turning an opportunity, then to take the contract and fail. Once you have a
name of be unreliable in this industry, it is very hard to get back in.

                                                  All Money Ain’t Good Money……

                                                                                                           89
