                  Task – Curtain Walls

Purpose: to understand how Curtain Walls are created, modeled and placed:

                  1. Before modeling the Curtain Walls create new Levels in
the project to control the height of the following Curtain
                        Walls
Navigate to desired elevation view and create two new
Levels as shown in the illustration to the right

DO NOT create Plan Views for the new Levels and in
Properties, DO NOT select option Building Story

                  2. Then navigate to the ground level in the Project Browser
and click on the Wall tool

Architecture ► Build ► Wall ► Wall: Architectural
                        and

Select type Interior – Curtain Wall i Type Selector

                  3. In this type Automatically Embed is turned on, so that we can draw "on top of" existing
walls and Revit will automatically make an opening in the wall that is pasted in.

Now, draw all Interior Curtain Walls on respectively, Stueplan and 1. Sal, as shown on
                        the illustrations.

Height is set to ”Loft Stue” and ”Loft 1. Sal” in Option Bar.

                  4. The other Curtain Walls in the facade on Stueplan and 1. Sal, should be modeled with
type Exterior - Embedded Curtain Wall

On ground level set Height to ”Loft Stue” and at 1. floor set Height to ”Loft Kantine”
