Task – Wall structures

Purpose: to understand how the wall types are created and edited

1. Click Wall the tool and select the type Exterior - Generic 420 mm in Type Selector in
Properties palette

2. Under Properties for wall type click Edit Type, and then you come into the Type
Properties. Since we do not want to change the existing type, but will create a new one,
click the Duplicate.

Name the new wall type:
”Exterior – Concrete-Insul-Concrete_LW 420 100-200-120”

3. Now, create layers in the wall, which is
done in Construction ► Structure ►
Edit…

Insert two new layers by clicking on the
Insert and by using the Up and Down
moved it one layer to line 1 and the other
to line 5

Customize the layer function, material
and thickness as in the table below
